The history of this mansion goes back to 1892, when Louis Steyns started the production of the prestigious shoe brand Ambiorix. This "shoe history" is subtly implemented in the entire hotel. You can have breakfast in the beautiful veranda with a terrific garden-view. The rooms have high ceilings, stone mantelpieces, crystal chandeliers, deluxe wallpapers, parquet and all the comfort one can ask. In the library you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a refreshing drink while reading a newspaper or magazine. This recent hotel is close to the station, shopping streets and the largest antiques market of the Benelux. The Gallo-Roman museum, the beguinage, the medieval walls, Moerepoort, ... Are all within walking distance of the hotel. Furthermore, no stress about finding a suitable public parking, because the hotel has its own parking facilities for cars and bicycles.
