AbrakaBakra Copper Art is a project by artist Denis Drljević from Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose goal is the revitalization of traditional crafts, primarily those that deal with copper as a material, namely the crafts of coppersmiths. Our place of business is in the Old Town in Mostar. Modeling of copper for making decorative objects and objects for everyday use has been a part of life in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 16th century until today. Over time, some craft skills gained credibility as art forms and became an integral part of local folklore and tradition. Copper reliefs and their reproductions, jewelry, bookmarks, magnets, orgonites, lamps, and furniture are only part of this artistic vision. The products are mainly created by recycling copper found in waste, combined with hand-struck old coins, interesting pieces of wood, stone, and crystals, in collaboration with other local craftsmen and artists.
