The theatre has won international recognition with its high standard of professionalism, presenting World and European premieres of plays by celebrated playwrights, enhancing Vienna’s image as a centre of innovative drama, and attracting a distinguished roster of international stage and screen personalities, among them Joan Fontaine, Anthony Quinn, Linda Gray, Larry Hagman, Princess Grace of Monaco, Benedict Cumberbatch and Judi Dench as well as Jean-Louis Barrault, Jeanne Moreau and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
